Gohn Fishing

a Pennsylvania Fly Fishing Guide

A Little About Me:

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the water and the creatures that call them home. My passion for trout started early—I spent my youth exploring wild streams and counting down to the trout opener with more excitement than Christmas morning. Now, with over 20 years of experience, the only thing I love more than landing trout myself is helping others experience that same thrill—the kind that brings out the kid in all of us.

My Goals as your guide

Chasing trophy browns in Pennsylvania’s waterways has been my passion for years, and I want to share that experience with you. While landing a 20” brown isn’t guaranteed every trip, modern techniques and years of experience make it a real possibility. All gear can and will be provided! If you’re looking for a shot at a true trophy, let’s hit the water and make it happen!

Tactics

At 16, I discovered the advantages of Euro-nymphing and quickly realized the rewards that came with it. Today, more than 75% of my time on the water is spent fishing with some form of a tight-line leader. That said, I still appreciate the versatility of a good dry-dropper setup—especially when fish are rising.

As late winter and early spring arrive, streamer fishing takes center stage. After a long, sluggish winter, hungry brown trout become aggressive, and there’s nothing more exhilarating than watching one chase down an artificial meal.

No matter which aspect of your fly fishing skillset you’d like to refine, I’m here to help you take your game to the next level. I pride myself on being a well-rounded angler, constantly learning something new every time I hit the water—and I’m eager to share that knowledge with you.
